Dr. Frank A. Snyder

Dr. Snyder completed his medical education at the Medical College of Virginia in 1986, completing his internship and residency at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in 1988. After two years as an emergency room doctor, he started Wilmington Internal Medicine in 1991. He has devoted his entire career to the understanding, treatment and prevention of diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension.

Dr. Snyder is married with one son, and a proud veteran of the US Navy.

Dr. Steven H. Hirsch

Dr. Hirsch completed his medical education in 1985 at the Medical College of Georgia (his home state). His internship and residency was completed at New Hanover Memorial Hospital, where he still makes the rounds today. After a number of years in private practice in Durham, Steve and his wife moved to Wilmington in 2002, and he has practiced Medicine at Wilmington Internal Medicine ever since. Dr. Hirsch specializes in preventive medicine related to diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension, and has done so for most of his twenty-year medical career.

Dr. Andre G. Sarmiento

Dr. Sarmiento completed his medical education at The George Washington University School of Medicine in 1995, completing his internship and residency at Robert Packer Hospital in Pennsylvania in 1999. Dr. Sarmiento recently relocated to North Carolina from Texas after serving in the United States Air Force. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Sarmiento is married with one son.

Dr. Ian S. Foxall

A native of the United Kingdom, Dr. Foxall moved to the United States in 1982 and graduated from New York Medical College in 1998. After completing his residency at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City, Dr. Foxall spent 13 years as a partner in a large primary care medical practice in New Jersey. 

Like all of our healthcare providers, Dr. Foxall has extensive expertise in prevention and treatment of diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, supplemented by considerable experience in weight management and metabolic regulation techniques.

Ian is married with 3 children, and he and his family are very excited to be relocating to Wilmington!

Dr. Kimberly J. Salene

*** Returning in October 2014 ***

Dr. Salene received her Degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She did her residency in Internal Medicine at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Dr. Salene is well versed in all areas of Internal Medicine, with an emphasis on the prevention of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Salene served sixteen years in the United States Navy and is coming to us from Virginia. She is married with two children.

Mojgan B. Jones, PA-C
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Mojgan completed her undergraduate study at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington and then received her physician assistant certification and degree from Finch University, The Chicago Medical School in 2001. Since her move back to North Carolina, Mojgan has accumulated several years of experience, and like all providers at Wilmington Internal Medicine, she is well-versed in the prevention and control of diabetes, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. Mojgan also offers extensive knowledge of headache management, stemming from her work at the world-renowned Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago, IL.

Mojgan is married and has one son and one daughter.
